2026 Annual Meeting of the Miracle_Q Project
On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, the Miracle_Q project of the PEPR Quantum held its annual meeting at the ENS in Paris. The event brought together around forty participants and provided an opportunity for project members to present their recent work and findings. Talks were also given by members of other PEPR projects collaborating with Miracle_Q.
Miracle_Q is led by Matthieu Delbecq, a professor and researcher at Sorbonne University at the ENS Physics Laboratory (LPENS). Its goal is to manufacture, validate and test the elementary module of a new quantum computer platform.
A day of scientific presentations
Morning
- Matias Urdampilleta, CNRS researcher at Institut Néel and member of the Presquile project. “Electron spin qubit in foundry-fabricated devices”.
- Sébastien Granel, PhD student at CEA at PHELIQS. “Strong spin-photon coupling in a 3D-integrated spin-cQED architecture”. Sébastien Granel is also collaborating with Simon Zihlmann, a CEA researcher at PHELIQS, on Zihlmann’s Early-Stage Researcher chair, which focuses on spin-photon coupling.
- Lucas Jarjat, post-doc at LPENS. “Parametric drive of a double quantum dot in a cavity”.
- Michael Hynes & Felix Krauth senior quantum measurement engineers at C12. “Coherent Control of a Carbon Nanotube Mechanical Mode”.
- Nicolas Delhote, researcher-lecturer at Université de Limoges at XLIM. “Investigating 3D simulation and printing of superconducting microwave passives”.
Afternoon
- Landry Bretheau, researcher-lecturer at École Polytechnique at QCMX Lab of the Laboratoire de physique de la matière condensée (LPMC) and member of the RobustSuperQ, project. “Quantum control of a carbon nanotube-based superconducting qubit”.
- Jean-Damien Pillet, researcher-lecturer at École Polytechnique at QCMX Lab of the LPMC and member of the RobustSuperQ, project. “Andreev molecular states in a carbon nanotube”.
- Theo Philippe-Kagan, PhD student at LPENS (CIFRE with C12). “Electrical control of a synthetic band gap in a suspended carbon nanotube”.
