Retrospective of the
PEPR Quantum holiday workbook

Throughout the summer, the PEPR Quantum shared resources on its LinkedIn page for those wishing to learn more about quantum physics. Articles, videos and other content dedicated to this topic were highlighted. It was an opportunity to discover or rediscover quantum physics from every angle!

Find the six publications from the holiday workbook below.

Schrödinger’s equation, Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, spin, quantum entanglement… In this hour-long video, the CEA invites you to dive into the fascinating world of quantum physics, exploring a surprising analogy with video games.

From qubits to quantum entanglement and superposition, this project creates and presents objects that help to illustrate how simple quantum protocols and algorithms work.

Eleni Diamanti is a CNRS research director at LIP6 (CNRS/Sorbonne Université) and an expert in the field of quantum communications. Together with her teams, she conducts research into the development of protocols and photonic resources for emerging quantum communication networks.

Researchers at Inria, in collaboration with the start-up Alice & Bob, have announced a potential solution to overcome errors in quantum computers: combining a type of quantum information unit known as ‘cat qubits’ with linear error-correcting codes (LDPC).

To mark the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, La Physique Autrement is publishing a new quantum image every three days on its website, Instagram and Facebook accounts. To do this, the team asked 100 quantum researchers to send them their favourite image.

In the episode “Quantum Physics and Cold Atoms” of the podcast À l’écoute de la science —created by Pour la Science magazine in partnership with the Collège de France—Jean Dalibard, professor at the Collège de France, traces the key stages of experimental quantum physics.
